Hi: yes, they are new listings. They have uploaded successfully. Just not the pictures.

So, can you give me a step by step process to do this? Please.

    Hi,

    it shouldn’t be that difficult…

    1) in your CSV you add file names in the images column. Example: 2681_fgdfgdfgd.jpg
    2) Import the CSV file
    3) Use a FTP client to upload the images where the script is telling you to. Last screenshot you attached you can see: Please transfer all images in ‘/wp_content/uploads/2015/11 ‘ folder.

Once you upload the images as instructed, all will work fine.

Are you doing these 3 steps correctly?

What’s the part where you are having problems?

    Let us know,

    Thanks

Can you take a look at my CSV file to see if the images
    are named correctly.

Also, I know how to use FTP, and the location for the images, but
I don’t know what to upload. The URL path from the CSV file?

    hi,

you need to upload the phisical image file (2681_fgdfgdfgd.jpg) from your computer to the right uploads sub-folder (2015/11 in your case).

Please send the CSV using a file sharing service. The 1st you tried to upload was too big, while this one isn’t a csv.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

I don’t understand. I have 3500 pictures. So, I just upload pictures, and they
know where to go? It does not make sense. Isn’t there some sort of format?

I have 3500 listings. Do I need to upload each picture. Also. how do the pictures know what listing to attach themselves to? Do I have to rename each pictures, after downloading the CSV. That seems like it would take a week.

So, where do I send the CSV for you to look at? I don’t have your e-mail?

    Ok,

please follow this example (see CSV attached)

    1) there is only 1 listings “John Hancock Center” with 2 images:
    johnhancock.jpg and John-hancock.jpg

I have these 2 images on my desktop in a folder called uploads-30_11

    2) I import the new listing via GeoDirectory >> Import/Export, the script tells me to upload images for that listing in wp-content/uploads/2015/11

    3) Via FTP I import the 2 images (johnhancock.jpg and John-hancock.jpg) from my desktop/uploads-30_11 folder to wp-content/uploads/2015/11 as instrcuted.

    That’s it…

GD knows these images are for that listing, because they are imported for that listing.

What do you mean by : Do I have to rename each pictures, after downloading the CSV?

If you export to re-import and update, you would only correct lines that you need to edit. Otherwise you don’t touch image files name again.

Let me know if this is still not clear.

    Thanks

Hi Paolo: Thanks for the specific directions. I understand now. However, I do not
have the pictures on my computer. They are only on the website. I had someone who
helped me transfer listings. He did not need my pictures. hmm. To bad, I can’t find
    him on Freelancer anymore.

    Any more suggestions?

    thanks,

    Cory

No more suggestions, you have all the info you need…

You must have the pictures to upload when importing new listings. You can’t assign an image that is already on a server.

    Thanks

I still don’t understand. If the other person was able to do it without
me giving him the pictures. How did he do it.

Is there another process? Because, simply I do not have the pictures. They
    are only on the website?

So, If I asked someone from the community to transfer listings from one site to another they cannot do it, without me sending the pictures? I just need to be correct?

That is correct, to transfer listings from 1 website to another you must have the pictures to be re-uploaded on the new website. The system doesn’t transfer files from a website to another.

    Thanks
