Facebook comments appear duplicated in most Detail pages

    Hello,

    I recently had my GD V1 site converted to GD V2 by a GD Expert.

    Now Facebook comments appear duplicated in most of the Detail pages of the CPT “Menjar i beure”.

    For example, they do in these:

    But not in these:

    Which could be the problem?

    How are the comments added?
    If there is a plugin controlling those, are they attached to the page?
    By shortcode?
    Could there be two copies of the shortcode?
    One of the copies is “in” the page reviews area.
    The other is “below” the page so it looks to me like they are not exactly the same comment box.

    Hello,

    Because every Thursday I am using the site to run a weekly online marketing campaign and the GD V1 to GD V2 conversion has left several key issues that affect the campaign, today Thursday the 7th March I am restoring the old GD V1 site to be able to run the campaign normally.

    Please, do not mark this ticket as resolved. Tomorrow Friday the 8th March I will restore the GD V2 site so we will be able to continue dealing with any issue left after the conversion and definitely solve all them.

    Facebook comments are added by this plugin:

    In its settings I have to define for which CPTs I want Facebook comments to replace WP comments.

    When I disable Facebook Comments, the WP comments appear duplicated in both active GD CPTs: “Menjar i Beure” and “Habitatge i Allotjament”, one in the GD Review Tab and the other after all GD Tabs.

    Could the issue be caused by some incompatibility between GD and the plugin?

    Is there some other way to replace WP Comments by Facebook Comments in GD Listings?

    Try removing the reviews tab on a CPT. That will probably remove the first instance on that CPT.

    Yes, it does. But what I want is to remove the second instance and keep the reviews tab to be able to place it in the right place and show its title.

    For plugins like this, it is nice when they offer general CPT options as well as shortcodes. Instead of using general page settings you can use their shortcode wherever you want. Because it offers shortcodes, try:

    Turn off facebook comments for that CPT
    Removing the reviews tab from one CPT
    Create a new Tab called “Reviews” with the Fieldset field (in the Tabs UI)
    Add a shortcode field to the new review tab
    Add the plugin shortcode for comments to the shortcode custom field

    Otherwise you may need to contact the plugin author to inquire about how to get it to load the way you want.

    Hi Alex,

    Thank you very much for your reply.

    I did what you said, and then I get a “Reviews” Tab with Facebook comments but also WP Comments at the end of the listing details.

    I checked in WP Configuration settings that WP Comments were disabled for new posts.

    Then I disabled WP Comments for every existing GD listing and WP Comments finally disappeared.

    So I guess that I disabled WP Comments after adding some GD listings and this was the reason for which some GD listings were showing duplicated reviews and others not.
