Hello,

Im having problems conencting my facebook app to use the social importer.

I “think” i have done things correctly within facebook. My app is ‘live’, although i havnt asked it to be reviewed as yet (im not sure if that is necesssariy or not). Ive added the OAuth redirect url within my developer console for the app, as well as my allowed domains, and added my app id and secret to my site set up. Yet when i click on “connect your app” within my wordpress GD admin, I get a facebook pop up window which says:

“Invalid Scopes: manage_pages, publish_pages, user_events. This message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid permissions at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions” I read the documentation (which didnt make much sense to me), so im still none the wiser 🙁

How can i correct this please?

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your post. It looks like you have not allowed permissions for manage_pages, publish_pages, user_events in FB app settings.

To check permissions go to https://developers.facebook.com/apps/ > Your FB APP > App Review > Permissions and Features. On this page active permissions for manage_pages, publish_pages, user_events features.

thank you Kor, looks like there are a few hoops to jumpo through at the facebook end then, so i may just stick to yelp for now lol
