    Dear Stiofan,

    You have Categories and Tags as available taxonomy types.
    Is there a way to add a custom category-like taxonomy without delving into the source code or using 3rd party plugin?

    For instance: Places as Shops may have Categories as Food, Books, DIY, Sports etc.
    New taxonomy: Chains as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, ASDA etc.

    So it could also be added to Custom Fields list of Places.

    Hi Eugene, you can use a Multi-Select or Select custom field for that.

    Thanks Guust, but it is not what I need. I knew that I could do what you suggested. I need it to be a taxonomy, to which new items could be added dynamically on the front end.

    Unfortunately there isn’t an option for that, no, sorry.
