Feature request: default map icon

    Requesting a default map icon option, just as we have a default image, so we don’t have to change or configure the map icon of all the categories individually.

    Categories need to be created one by one or by CSV import, so it should be easy enough to select an existing map marker from your media.
    I’ll get the developers to have a look at your question too in case they have anything to add.

    Yes, but to update the map icon you also need to do it one by one.

    The default map marker can be set at GD – Settings – General – Show advanced – Default marker icon

    There is not a per CPT marker image at this time, but your request has been noted.

    The default map marker doesn’t work because Map Icon is a required field when adding or editing a category.

    Can you please make it not required so that it defaults to the one configured at GD – Settings – General – Show advanced – Default marker icon?

    I am working on this in a round about way… the end result will be its not required.
