I only have 1 featured listings but the non-featured ones also show up on the sidebar widget. Is this normal?

As far as I know there is no Featured Listing Widget. There is GD > Popular Post View and it the same widget that lists places in the main content column.

It will show listing from the post type and category selected regardless if they are featured or not.

Thank you, Paolo. Is there a way you can create a widget that only show selected listings (ex. featured listings only)

I’ll ask VIkas to look into adding a check box in that widget to display only featured.

Depending on how complicated it is, we will proceed or wait for others to request something similar before proceeding.

+1 for only featured on the widget, it’s a must have…. always thought of this!

Thank you, Paolo. This feature will further justify the extra fees directory owners charge for featured listings.

For a small directory it probably doesn’t matter but for sites with thousands of listings, listing owners will be more willing to pay extra for maximum exposure.
