Sure, a shortcode like this will show featured only
[gd_listings post_type="gd_place" post_limit="5" add_location_filter="1" show_featured_only="1" sort_by="az" title_tag="h3" layout="5" view_all_link="1" bottom_pagination="1"]
February 15, 2020 at 10:58 pm #530589so can I please add shortcode to my search pages, for Australia, USA and Around the world search pages to allow featured first?
No, you cannot.
your location page is not designed to fit with my website theme
What do you mean with that?
Make the location pages look the same as the search pages then:
https://dancingwithher.com/location/australia/You can have a look at other location pages using the location switcher:

February 16, 2020 at 11:19 pm #530684Perfect thanks Alex, what is the shortcode please to have them display with three listings across and pagination down the bottom of the page (not view all) like the attachments, please.
February 17, 2020 at 4:02 am #530707Actually I’ve been confused as both yourself (Alex) and Guust have been replying to this thread with totally different answers…
Please ignore my last message Alex as Guust last fix to this will work- thank you both!!Guust please may you help me as the only issue now is the worldwide location page is not set up correctly. For me to link listings that service just worldwide do I have to create a location for this? If so how do I go about doing this as adding a new location via the locations tab in Geo settings only allows countries?
Thanks again in advance!
February 17, 2020 at 7:24 am #530735This is your worldwide location page: https://dancingwithher.com/location/
Worldwide will include listing anywhere and everywhere.
Location pages are based on the addresses entered for the listings, not based on where a business provides a service. Thanks
February 17, 2020 at 7:38 am #530741Ok well what would you suggest please for this option as these are my main three locations that are needed?
February 17, 2020 at 9:29 am #530762How do you know which listings service worldwide, and which ones do not? Are you using a custom field or category to collect that information?
February 17, 2020 at 9:32 am #530765I am using business servicing in the single listing details page and also asking my vendors as they found this to be very very important.
February 17, 2020 at 10:10 am #530769Right, I now see that you are using a custom field, which is what I asked.
You can filter the search by that, I added it as a search option.Location pages are address based, and filtering by custom fields can only be done by in the search page, but you cannot have featured first there.
February 17, 2020 at 10:29 pm #530892Ok thank you, not ideal but I understand it is not possible via your plugin for what I need.
Can you please some shortcode for me to change the text color for categories drop-down, removing the old search category section and changing the filter drop-down icon please?February 18, 2020 at 4:48 am #530925If you would use categories [service area] and subcategories [worldwide] then you can just navigate to the subcategory page that lists all worldwide service listings
removing the old search category section
Places > Settings > Search tab > Remove categories from search options.
DONE.…Can you please some shortcode for me to change the text color for categories drop-down
Try this CSS, adjust as required:
body .geodir-listing-search.gd-search-bar-style .geodir-loc-bar .clearfix.geodir-loc-bar-in .geodir-search .gd-search-input-wrapper .geodir-search-input-label+input.search_text {color: red;}changing the filter drop-down icon please?
I am not sure how to change the cog wheel icon for the advanced search, I’ll ask one of the others.
Thanks
February 18, 2020 at 5:08 pm #531028Hi Arlia,
Thanks for your reply. To change the cog icon, you can use the custom CSS code below. You can refer to fontawesome Website for the exact number of the icon that you’d like to change.
.fa-cog:before { content: "\f012"; }
February 18, 2020 at 10:44 pm #531079Thank you Guust!
Unfortunately now it has deleted the new category search section that had the dropdown. I was hoping to remove the old category text box, like in my attachment.
Is this possible?February 18, 2020 at 11:07 pm #531082Thanks Kor, that works perfectly!
February 19, 2020 at 7:59 am #531148Hi Arlia,
Thanks for your reply. Which “old category text box” are you referring to? Could you elaborate?
