1. Yes, you can display featured posts on the GD Sidebar using the GD Listing Widgets.

2. It will only display the categories if you’ve listings in it.

3. Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean by “featured area the category which is visible is from another post type which is not selected.”. Please elaborate

4. Which Featured Area are you referring to? Could you share some screenshots?

Add this CSS to your customizer:
