Hello
Having recently successfully set up my site using V1, I have decided to set up a new demo site using V2 – to ensure this works prior to using.
I currently have two issues:
1) The listing fields do not appear on the sidebar. I have set these to show in the “Details Page Sidebar”. Am I missing something?
2) When I select “My Listings” through the GD-Dashboard, I am taken to my blog page – see image. Have I missed a setting somewhere?January 19, 2019 at 9:15 am #464134Hello,
1. About the sidebar, see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/#theme
2. You may need to complete additional UsersWP setup to show listing tabs in the profile. Also check the UsersWP GeoDirectory settings. https://userswp.io/docs/geodirectory/
January 19, 2019 at 4:58 pm #464170Hello
Issue 2 solved – thanks
Regarding issue 1, I only have the Supreme Directory and Directory Starter themes installed – with the Supreme being active. I appear to be missing the GD widgets? Please advise.
Thanks
January 19, 2019 at 5:42 pm #464177Did you add the widget in appearance widgets? https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/#sidebar-widgets
January 19, 2019 at 5:45 pm #464180Make sure both themes are V2
January 19, 2019 at 6:56 pm #464205Hello
It is the GD-Widget areas I am missing – my mistake. Anyway, I do have V1 of the Directory Starter Theme. However, I do not see a delete option on the theme to facilitate the V2 install unless there is a way of updating the V1?
January 19, 2019 at 7:33 pm #464210Hello
Just to say have now fixed the problem. I was unable to delete the Directory theme because the Supreme theme was active. Of course you would have known this.
Thank you for help.

I cannot find why, I turned off all non-GD plugins and still no luck.
I’ll pass this one to a developer.
ThanksJanuary 20, 2019 at 7:58 pm #464302The settings at
GD – Settings – Design – Archive and Detail were set to page.php. For GD themes this can be left at Auto. Set to Auto it works fine now, please check. In most cases this setting can be left at Auto.

In GeoDirectory v2 if have chosen geodirectory as a page layout then it will show GD widget sections on that page.
Otherwise you have to add GeoDirectory widget to theme widget sections(Ex: primary sidebar etc.)Kiran

There is no need for that, just select default or whatever your theme provides. GD V2 uses your theme’s templates. If the case, are you saying to create a widget area?
No, just use the normal sidebar you use for your theme. If so and to avoid coding, I have used a plugin Custom Sidebars to create a widget area. I have called this GD Sidebar. I have selected this as a sidebar on the GD Details page.
There is no need for that.I turned off the GD Sidebar you created, and added to new widgets to the theme sidebar: GD Author Actions and GD Output Location.
Have another look at this link: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/geodirectory/getting-started/#sidebar-widgets
