Hi,

Is it possible to have fields according to the category.
That is to say in the add new page, we only have specific fields once we have chosen the category of the post.
I am looking for a free solution with the basic plugin.

No, that is not possible. The Pricing Manager does that by package, or the Custom Post Types addon does that with different Custom Post Types.

You can hide the output of some fields based on category because the category is one of the body classes on the page. For that you would need to create your own custom CSS.
