fields not appearing in listing details

    Neither default fields not custom fields are appearing on the main listing details page. In GD > Place Settings > Custom Fields, when I removed ‘details page sidebar’ they each disappear, but adding ‘listing page’ does nothing. Now they don’t appear anywhere on listings pages.

    I’d like you to check out this section of the documentation as it explains how to display custom fields in the details page. https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#common . If it doesn’t help, do you think you can share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look? You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

    If the default fields are not appearing, please try to go to GD Tools and run the utility to clear all version numbers. Refresh any dashboard page and check again.

    hi,

    please go to GeoDirectory >> Place settings, double click on any of the fields on the right column that are not appearing and on the option: Show in what locations?: select Details page sidebar.

    I’ve done it for the Phone field and now you can see it on that example listing.

    In that case the only solution without a customization is to add it to the more info tab.

    Adding it to the main content area would require code customization.

    ok so since the plugin is not able to do something VERY basic, how about you tell me what that code is for adding the info to the main page area? I’m having to custom template pretty much every page of the site anyway. THANKS

    I understand what you’re saying but … I don’t understand why the main place images are being used as map markers. The Geo Directory plugin says we can use multiple images and so the images are logos and product images… why are those being used as map markers??

    Is there a setting somewhere where I can change from where the markers are gotten? Or how are the markers and place images kept separate– where is each type set??

    Map markers are exclusively loaded from Place >> Place Categories.

    You probably loaded a big image instead of an icon.
