Fieldset is not working – advice needed

    Hi support team,

    I tried to use different fieldset items to create different tabs and store there within additional listing informations to be also used for as filter options or multiselect custom fields.

    Unfortunately
    1. the tabs are not shown and I am unsure how to input the different fields within different tabs
    2. the “show only on these pages…” setting are also not saved (have about 124 packages) too.
    About not able to store settings – I had the same problem and solved it by using this thread, BUT using the same instructions of “deactivating vouchers plugin” and “clear all version plugins” did not have helped to solve this issue.

    Hi Guust,

    I tried it also by de-activating all other plugins except buddypress and some of the geodirectory plugins (screen shot – http://screencast.com/t/uxSFfzx4 ) with the same issue, of not beeing able to save all the selected price packages and tabs are still not shown.

    Well I think this is a geodirectory related issue or a database failure?

    Looking for fast help to solve this problem.

    Hi Stiofan,

    thanks for information, but it seems not working proper again, because the “ONLINE contact” Tab is not created on other listings. e.g. http://gd.worldcheckin.com/places/united-states/new-york/new-york/restaurants/morimoto/

    Either by setup (http://gd.worldcheckin.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=geodirectory&tab=gd_place_fields_settings&subtab=custom_fields&listing_type=gd_place) using only tab settings or either by using it within “more info” as tab.

    Hmm – No creation of the tab is made.

    What are you expecting to see in the “ONLINE Contact” tab.
    The fields you have below it are GD default fields that cannot be added to a tab, like “email” (which creates the ‘send enquiry’ link),
    I added a test fieldset and field at the bottom and all works as expected.

    well not sure why, but as it is setup as fieldset, it is not working.

    There you find that within “more info tab” the fieldset is not shown, either your “Guust” or my new “test” fieldset.

    The only one which is working is your “guust” text setup which is shown as a tab.

    I want to split custom fields into groups (activities, attributes, categories, entertain, facilities, etc.) within “more info” tab and therefore I need the fieldset option for grouping the multi select options.

    Any ideas why the fieldset option is not working proper?

    The fieldset is working properly.
    A fieldset is only a heading for the fields underneath it, just like the test I set up.
    See image.
    From the documentation:

    Fieldset: Setting this to YES will create a new tab on the detail page, but only if the field is also set to show on the detail page.
    Field: Setting this to YES will add the field to the Fieldset under which the field is ordered.

    What you are trying to achieve is a tab within a tab. That is not possible.
    You can do that by adding an admin field with default content in your More Info tab, called heading for example and style that.
    And then add your fields below that.
    Have a look at your Miromoto listing for the example I introduced.

    Ah ok –
    but where do I have to impelement the text “This is the tab” or “This is the tab content”?
