File upload problems

    Hiya

    We are nearly there with the directory. I have just uploaded the attached file and only about half of the entries appear in Geo Directory. Of those that successfully uploaded, they all appear on the home map but when I search USA for example only one appears even though there are a large number.

    Is there something I am doing wrong or can you see if there is something wrong with the file I have uploaded?

    I used OpenOffice.org to edit the file.

    Hi Lucy,

    that file is all wrong.

    A lot of regions are missing and a lot that are not are abbreviations. Some are missing also the address, city and other mandatory fields.

    Same with countries, a lot are abbreviations.

    All regions must be there and must be spelled out, same with Countries. USA must be United States, UK must be United Kingdom and so on.

    Also you have a lot of addresses that start with a comma?

    Thanks Paolo, that’s brilliant. Everything is working just how we would like and we understand it now. One very last question. I had to alter my settings and the home map went blank…

    I have tried absolutely everything and have reloaded the map in the widgets but no luck. Would you have any ideas?

    My colleague and I have used different browsers and are getting this grey screen. The map appears after we search but the home map with the pins isn’t displaying.

    After clearing the browser cache now I see the problem too. It seems to be a zooming problem, if I drag the map the listings appear.

    I think the problem is due to plenty of listings still having errors like abbreviated regions. Also make sure the lat and lon coordinates are correct.

    Please export, correct them all and re-import to update the listings.
