I just noticed a warning message when searching for listing via the search bar on the homepage. The warning message says: “This Form is not secure, are you sure you want to submit it?” (refer to screenshot) Hopefully there is an easy fix to this issue.

    Thanks
    Dave

It seems to appear when I search in a listing category that has newly added listings

    Hi Dave,

Just tested it on my iPhone Safari and I’m not getting that message. How do you replicate it?

    Thanks!

If you click the dropdown and select a different category (for example the maintenance, or arts and crafts category) then click search icon, it would appear. I’m using safari.

Is there a setting within GeoDirectory that deals with Sending POST Data? I guess safari is warning me that even though the form is embedded using the HTTPS protocol, that maybe the code within the site isn’t secure? I’m not sure.

    Thanks
    Dave

    Hello!

The chrome tools panel has a mixed content error report

Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://publicties.com/’ was loaded over a secure connection, but contains a form which targets an insecure endpoint ‘http://publicties.com/’. This endpoint should be made available over a secure connection.

You can use the Better Search Replace plugin to update your site’s URL across the database.

    Change http://mysite.com
    To https://mysite.com

There is also several plugins on WordPress that can help you overcome this issue and potential future mixed content errors, too:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/really-simple-ssl/

Your site is looking good, without any other Mixed Content errors.

I wonder if this (wordpress installation directory) has anything to do with it

    Hello!

General WordPress support is beyond the scope of support.

There may be hundreds of links on your site pointing to http:

That said, yes, if you have an SSL cert, then you should change those settings to read https, not http
