Franchise Listings duplicates

Have a question about duplicates with franchises.

If a company hasn’t signed up yet. Someone else posts their business to review. Then later on the owner of the company signs up their main company and lists all their franchises, one of their franchises is a listing already in the directory. what happens to the current listing? is there a way to merge them or do we just have to delete the duplicate?
