Hi
I’ve just installed V2 using the Avada theme and have a few issues.
1) The ‘Events’ tab in the menu is not aligned and has ‘Event post type.’ written below it.
2) When I click on a dummy event or place, it does not open up to show the listing details and just remains on the same page with summary listings.
3) I have been able to move the pin on the map for the default location, but the default location is incorrectly named and the listings on the map are in the wrong location.
4) The backend indicates an error – GeoDirectory permalink error the following rule appears twice ^events/([^/]*)/?$
5) There is an prompt advising of a new version of GeoDirectory Custom Post Types. When I attempt to update the plugin it says ‘Update Failed’
6) I recall in V1 there was a member login area but I don’t see it on V2.
7) The dropdown fields boxes (e.g. ‘Event date’ and ‘Upcoming’ in Events, etc.) look unfinished and not as clean as the ‘Events’ ‘Search for’ and ‘Near’ fields above them.
8) There are no images when I click on a listing on the map.
9) When I hover over the menu item, ‘Add Listing’, the sub-menu appears with ‘Add Place’ and ‘Add Event’. If I then click on ‘Add Listing’ it takes me to the ‘Add Place’ page. Is this supposed to happen?
10) Have I set up the ‘Location’ page correctly or am I using this feature incorrectly.
11) Does the site look set up correctly? Is there anything I’m missing?
Apologies for the length of this post.

1) The ‘Events’ tab in the menu is not aligned and has ‘Event post type.’ written below it.
That looks like a special theme feature. Try checking theme options for your menu.
2) When I click on a dummy event or place, it does not open up to show the listing details and just remains on the same page with summary listings.
Yes, GeoDirectory cannot be network activated. Please deactivate in the network and reactivate in the site. Once you do that, check to see if issues persist and we can take another look.
4) The backend indicates an error – GeoDirectory permalink error the following rule appears twice ^events/([^/]*)/?$
This is fixed by reviewing the permalinks. Fixed.
5) There is an prompt advising of a new version of GeoDirectory Custom Post Types. When I attempt to update the plugin it says ‘Update Failed’
Please include FTP and we can look into that.
6) I recall in V1 there was a member login area but I don’t see it on V2.
V2 does not come with a login page. If you need cusotmized login we recommend https://userspw.io
9) When I hover over the menu item, ‘Add Listing’, the sub-menu appears with ‘Add Place’ and ‘Add Event’. If I then click on ‘Add Listing’ it takes me to the ‘Add Place’ page. Is this supposed to happen?
Yes
If the issue persists after reactivation please write back and we will take another look.
November 12, 2018 at 10:59 am #453729Hi
I managed to work out the issue with number 1. It turned out that ‘Event post type.’ was written in the description field of the general tab in Event settings. I deleted that, then removed and replaced Events in the Menu.
I’ve deactivated in the Network and reactivated in the Site but the issue of the listings not opening up to display the full details persists.
I’m still experiencing issues with the locations on the map. I’m able to relocate the pin for the default location but there is no change on the map of listings.
Any thoughts on questions 7 and 8?
Thank you.
November 12, 2018 at 11:49 am #4537367. This is your theme’s CSS overriding some GD elements. I will ask a colleague to take a look at the issue.
8. This is probably due to the mixed content errors reported in the console. Please see: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/v2/mixed-content/
I will have my colleague take a look at the events page and advise on next steps.

the site has a browser login popup now so we cannot take a look. Send credentials for that if we should check the settings.
About clicking on the title and not going to the detail page, this is a permalinks issue. Try adding city or category to the custom structure.
1. and 2. We will need access to the site to check this out.
