Hi there,
I have read a lot of information about GeoDirectory bulk uploads.
I have downloaded a template from my site and replaced my existing places with the new ones I would like to upload.
As far as I can see I have followed these instructions to the letter, although I have chosen not to bulk upload images.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#resources
Unfortunately I am still receiving this message when trying to upload.
Array( [error] => Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.)xI have attached the file below, can you please help me?

February 3, 2017 at 1:39 pm #354416Hi,
this is a bug in WordPress version 4.7.2. Please install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/disable-real-mime-check/ as a temporary fix. More info here: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/import-issue/#post-341940
Thanks!
February 3, 2017 at 1:40 pm #354419Hi Rosie,
Could you please update the WordPress version to 4.7.2 and see if it fixes the issue there? There is bug in 4.7.1 that prevents csv uploads.
Thanks
February 3, 2017 at 1:43 pm #354420Hi Rosie,
Please follow guust’s response. The bug still exists in 4.7.2
Thanks
February 3, 2017 at 4:09 pm #354460Hi,
I have uploaded the plugin but unfortunately I get this message, and when I look at the places nothing has been uploaded.
Many Thanks,
Rosie
February 3, 2017 at 4:36 pm #354464Hi Rosie,
Please share WP temp admin access to your site so we can take a better look and also attached the csv file in your next reply. Please zip the file before you attached it. You can post the details here using the private reply option below.
Thanks!
February 6, 2017 at 8:55 pm #356081This reply has been marked as private.February 6, 2017 at 10:17 pm #356110Few pointers:
1. The CSV file must be re-saved with a comma delimiter, it is currenty tab limited.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/csv-tips-and-tricks/2. There is no data in the post_category column:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#mandatory3. geodir_website column needs http:// in front of the domain names
4. It looks like some listings are intended to be updates of existing ones. If that is the case then you need data in the post_id column
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#import5. None of the URLs in geodir_video refer to a video.
6. Your WP permalinks were not set correctly, I fixed it for you:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#postnamesOnly #1 and #2 will stop the import, the other things will give errors in the listings once imported.
Thanks
February 10, 2017 at 9:45 am #359224Hi
Thank you very much this has worked.
However some of the images I have uploaded will not show up. I realise some are white logo on clear background (my client obviously didn’t think that through) but could you please explain to me why other full colour images will not show up on the homepage, when I can see them in the backend or just a question mark where they are supposed to be. How do I fix this?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Many Thanks,
Rosie
February 10, 2017 at 10:21 am #359330I cannot see them in the backend … ?
You have no images uploaded to the Bootlegger, and the Aviator image has not been uploaded as explained at https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-export/#imagesHave a look in the backend at the listing:
…/wp-admin/post.php?post=326&action=editYou will see the missing image:
…/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/aviator.jpgThanks
February 10, 2017 at 11:01 am #359345The image is in the back end and I have uploaded them as explained.
The aviator image is in there with this exact file URL:
http://www.unirootsdirectory.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/aviator.jpg
February 10, 2017 at 12:22 pm #359407It is not for me:
http://www.unirootsdirectory.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/aviator.jpg goes to a 404 – not found.
The image you posted shows it is not there, hence the “?” on the image.you need to upload your images by FTP
