It would be great if those sections in GD could be grayed out or a message would appear about this, but I know that’s probably asking a bit much.
Actually it is on the roadmap 🙂

August 2, 2014 at 8:05 am #10750@ Brian, just some comments that not really fix your problems, but …
1. Listing slider widget is really design to be added to the content section, not the sidebar. It will need some CSS work for the sidebar I think.
2. See purpleedge’s link
3. That has been flagged and is on the to do list.
August 2, 2014 at 4:59 pm #10792Cheers Guust. The strange part here is that it actually was working quite fine up until recently.
August 12, 2014 at 11:40 am #11746Enfold has a “Display Everywhere” widget container for sidebars. However, it doesn’t seem to be pulled into the GD pages. I don’t know if there is a way, but it would be great if that could be pulled in on the GD pages as well, and in addition to any GD specific sidebars.
One challenge is whether it would be pulled in first or after any GD specific sidebars. Ideally, for greatest flexibility, there would be a global setting for the admin between first or last. This would greatly simplify widget management as any “site-wide” widgets could be placed once in the Display Everywhere container.
August 19, 2014 at 2:49 pm #12575Not sure if this is an Enfold issue or broader than that…
1) Noticing the “Customize My Search” button when using Advanced Search ends up cutting off various amounts of the text as the browser window is reduced.
2) Anyway the widget could be formatted to be more fluid so that it could be placed in a sidebar?
cheers
September 8, 2014 at 5:41 pm #14659Not sure if this is a templating or CSS issue, but noticing that the “/location/” URLs treat the top content section differently, blending into header/breadcrumb bar.
Here is a screengrab segment of a category page (preferred and normal treatment throughout the site), and one from a location URL page.
cheers
September 8, 2014 at 10:13 pm #14701Hi Brian,
This is because the usual layout would be to have the map inbetween those two sections.
If you don’t intend to have the map, you could add some css to your child theme to space these apart. Try the following…
.enfold-home-top .geodir-loc-bar { background: none; } #main .enfold-home-top .geodir-loc-bar-in { background-color: #fcfcfc; margin: 20px 0; padding: 20px; }September 8, 2014 at 11:46 pm #14711Thanks John. I’ll play with this and see what I can do.
cheers

The good thing is that the page does prompt to get user location.
Thanks for your help!
November 5, 2014 at 9:12 pm #20750Hi,
I’ve just updated Enfold in our test site: http://dropct.com/enfold/
and it doesn’t appears to have broken anything.
That said, I’ve never seen a template with a layout like yours, so I’m not sure what maybe causing this.
I’ll ask John to have a look, but he will probably need wp admin credentials.
Thanks

I will probably need to start disabling plugins/switching themes etc in an effort to find the culprit – are you ok with me doing this? -
