    Hi GD Guys,

We’re trying to style up the notification emails with basically a company logo at bottom etc (signature stylely).

But if we include any kind of image into them then the email notifications arn’t coming through… they work fine without the image.

They’re not going into spam and have tried multiple email accounts.

    please advise…

    Thanks in advance
    Tom

I cannot replicate that, it all works fine for my on my test site.
Can we have a look at your settings? (url and wp admin details in a private reply please)

In the claim listings notifications … look at the “Claim listing verification required” one as an example…

i want the email to look like this but with the image / logo in there, the notification email doesnt come through…. it does with out it

What I mean is that it is not an admin account.

    hi Guust,
    Another issue we’re having.

When you get in the site… if you click on the dropdown in the main search bar and select ‘pet boarding’… (see attached) then customise your search for just Dog Kennels & click search, the results show everything in pet boarding.

We want the end user to be able to just search for one sub-category (ie. Dog Kennels) without anything else showing… We have set one listing (K9 Kennels) category only to ‘Dog Kennels’ to test this… but as i say, it shows everything.

Where are we going wrong here??

    thanks in advance
    Tom

ps.. also, once youve clicked on ‘customise search’ & they all come up, we don’t need ‘pet boarding’ repeated at top of these sub-catergories either… not sure why it’s there?

I cannot figure out why the emails do not send as soon you add an image in the claim notifications.

I think the issue with the search is either because you have the same slug for both the CPT and one of the categories, or because you have subcategories and that confuses the search.

I’ll have to escalate this for you.

Ok, thanks for escalating it for us…

…total clarity on both issues would be good… we do need to get to bottom of them both.

    Thanks in advance.

The notification problem is definitely a bug, while the search problem is a mistery to me.

I tried to fix you catgeories and removed the useless catgeory with the same name as the CPT, but it didn’t change anything.

Strange thing is that I can’t recreate the problem on any of my test website.

I asked to the developers to check both things for us.

    They’ll let us know asap.

    Thanks for your patience,

    Hi Tom,

Sorry for the delay with this.

I have installed a email logger and the emails seem to be being sent ok, you can check here: http://petadvisor.co.uk/wp-admin/tools.php?page=email-log
I also added ur image to my claim email to test and i got the email fine with no problems, i changed the user u gave to my same email and tested but did not receive it which leads me to say its a server problem, my guess is there is a security rule or something but your server admin should be able to track it down pretty quick by checking the mail logs and security logs.

For the search issue, something is just not right, its not even considering the category, can you please provide FTP and i’ll take a look.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
