Is it possible to have the GD Locations widget display locations dependent on where the page is in the Places hierarchy.

    For example:

    places/country
Locations widget displays list of regions (filtered for that country)

    places/country/region
Locations widget displays list of cities (filtered for that region)

    places/country/region/city
Locations widget displays list of neighborhoods (filtered for that region)

    Hello,

most people use breadcrumbs for that function. If your theme doesn’t have breadcrumbs your SEO plugin may have a helper shortcode.

The GD Location widget doesn’t have this feature at this time but I Have taken this idea up and made a note for the developers to review for future versions. We have several improvements planned for the Location Manager addon and widgets.

    Thanks

It’s not so much the breadcrumb structure I need.

It’s more an ability to, say, when at Region level, have a sidebar list of Cities in that region that I could jump to quickly.

Similarly, when at City level have a list of neighborhoods that I can jump to quickly.

Same for country level with a list of Regions.

    Thanks

@spectrum – did you ever figure this out?

@coreyhammond – Best workaround I found was to create a new sidebar for Country / Region / City level with the GD Locations widget filtered differently for region / city / neighborhood in each.

I then used the Content Aware Sidebars Pro plugin using URL wildcard matching based on URL hierarchy to replace the Primary Sidebar.

    Seems to work OK.
