Have u edited the X theme files? if u view the source of your site there are several spaces before the code starts, this can cause problems writing sessions and cookies properly which might be the problem, can you try updating a fresh copy of X?

January 15, 2017 at 8:22 am #342978I have only edited x-theme files in the child theme. I just updated x-theme with a new copy. But the problem still remains.
January 15, 2017 at 8:26 am #342982Try turning off the child theme for a second. Updating the theme has no effect on customised pages in the child theme.
January 15, 2017 at 8:50 am #342993OK. Did that as well. But no change.
January 16, 2017 at 7:57 pm #343725Hi,
please see image attached. The problem is caused by those 5 blank lines. They shouldn’t be there.
I don’t think the problem comes from the child theme. It’s probably another plugin causing it, did you try disabling all non GD Plugins to see if the problem goes away?
It would help identify the culprit.
Let us know,
Thanks
January 16, 2017 at 9:11 pm #343748I don’t want to mess up my live site too much by disabling all plugins again, but I have exactly the same site (part from some recent css changes) in a dev-environment. Same admin login-credentials should work for you as well. With all other plugins disabled, the site is a real mess, but it still doesn’t solve the login problem.
You can take a look at it here:
http://dev.thassosgreece.comJanuary 16, 2017 at 9:27 pm #343808The 5 blank lines are still visible, please make the user super admin there too.
I want to disable GD too to see if the 5 lines remain, in that cane you’d have to ask for support to the author of X.
Thanks
January 16, 2017 at 9:31 pm #343809You’re made super admin now. Hope you can find the problem. Thanks for searching.
January 16, 2017 at 9:46 pm #343820Hi,
I deactivated all GD plugin and the problem persist.
If I activate the Twenty Sixteen theme the problem disappears.
Please ask for support to X author.
Thanks
January 16, 2017 at 9:51 pm #343825I don’t know what I have to say or explain to make them believe that it’s a problem with their theme that the gd-login page won’t load… I have a feeling they’ll say they can’t give support for a third party plugin. It is after all the gd-login page that won’t load properly. The normal wordpress login page loads. Any suggestions on how to address it?
January 16, 2017 at 9:57 pm #343829Show them the screenshot of your home page source. https://wpgd-jzgngzymm1v50s3e3fqotwtenpjxuqsmvkua.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/Capture-13.jpg
Ask them why that is happening, they don’t need to know about the GD login.
Tell them we disabled everything, so it can only be the theme.
Thanks
January 18, 2017 at 2:32 pm #345126So I contacted x-theme, and this is what they said about the 5 empty lines:
Yup that is normal, view-source some of the sites here: http://theme.co/x/showcase/ most if not all have that 5 empty lines, perhaps that has nothing to do with the issue.
They tried to log in and out, click register and forgot password, and had no problems doing so using the ordinary wp-login page. When I asked them to use the “My Dashboard” login-box, they wrote as expected:
It sounds like you might be having an issue with a third party plugin(GeoDirectory). Regretfully, we cannot provide support for third party plugins or scripts… any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.
So I’m sorry that I have to turn it back to you again. There must be something different with the gd-login page or widget, since the wordpress login page works fine but gd-login doesn’t.
Can you please help?
January 18, 2017 at 5:20 pm #345200Ok I just tested with another theme and the problem persist until you manually clear the cookies.
That must be a server issue. I asked to the developers to investigate deeper.
Thanks
January 18, 2017 at 5:48 pm #345212In our login page we have a check “get_current_user_id()” this is returning the user id even if apparently logged out, there must be some sort of server caching or it’s not clearing the cookies properly.
You are the only person with this problem.

January 18, 2017 at 7:19 pm #345280I’m not aware of any server caching being done. I have enabled mod_deflate to enable gzip compression, but that seems to be pretty standard and shouldn’t affect this, should it?
