Hi
I am using surpreme theme and want to place the GD map on the side bar of my GD search page – see screenshot attached, where I have marked the place where I want the map in yellow. So I went in the dashboard on Appearance -> Widget. I chose the widget GD > Map, chose to display the map on GD Sidebar and added the widget.
In the widget I set the following settings (also see image attached):
Width: 100 %
Height: 250 px
Map view: road map
Zoom level: auto
Map type: Directory Map
Default post tye: auto
Category restrictions: empty (none)
enable search filter: yes
enable post type filter: yes
Hide/show options: show on selected pages
GD pages: search page
country, region, city, neighbourhood slugs: empty. Then I saved the widget with these settings and … exactly nothing happened. No GD Map on my search page.
Please – what is the problem here?
Many thanks in advance
BirgitMarch 15, 2019 at 1:40 am #474600Try selecting “GeoDirectory Archive” for the page template for the GD Archive template.
Make sure you have SD and DS V2+.
See: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/themes/supreme/March 16, 2019 at 11:21 am #474865Hi Alex,
I do have SD and DS V2 (see screenshots). And I have tried every possible template on the search page, including the GD Archive template.
Even when I choose to show the map widget on all GD pages, the map widget is not displayed at all – no matter what map type I choose in the widget or what template the page is and no matter whether I place the widget in the GD top section or GD sidebar. What else can be the problem?
BirgitMarch 16, 2019 at 1:20 pm #474877Hi again,
I have double-checked everything.
The widget GD Map is displayed on the sidebar of the GD Detail page, but not on the sidebar of the GD search page – although it is the very same widget and the two pages have the same template (standard).1) Why is the GD Map widget on the side bar not displaid on the GD search page but on the GD Details page?
Thanks for your help

I have taken a look through the site.
The V1 themes are still present on the the site. Please remove the old themes from the server.
You are also missing the new multilingual addon required for integration with WPML. Please install that. It has no settings but is needed to make WPML work.
Please take care of those and write back if the issue persists.
March 16, 2019 at 11:20 pm #474943Hi Alex,
from the WP dashboard I had not been not able to delete the themes SD and DS v1. On the ftp-server I now deleted the backup folders in wp-content/plugins and -themes which helped.
So now there are no more themes in v1 existent.Still – the GD map on GD search page does not show properly:
As a widget in the side bar it is not displayed at all (see screenshots “GD map widget settings2” and “GD search page without map”.
As a shortcut in the block editor the GD map is visible and – hurray – does load listings . But I really want to have the map widget as a sticky one on the side bar of the GD search page. How do I achieve this?
Many thanks
BirgitMarch 17, 2019 at 12:41 am #474951A setting was overriding the page template selection for the archive template.
The setting is at
GD – Settings – Design – Archive – Page template file override
That setting is supposed to be subordinate to the page template. I will make a task to look at it on our test site.
For now the sidebar map is restored on your site so check that out and let us know what you find.
