"GD Modern Theme" does not work after latest GD Update

    Hello,
    after updating the latest release of GD only the “GD Directory Framework” is working but not the “GD Modern Theme”. What ist wrong? All my CSS settings are blown away….

    Did you de-activate to update? That is not necessary.
    GDF themes cannot work with GD de-activated.
    And you had activated the framework instead of the child theme.

    No, I deactivated the plugin after I’ve found the problem. Before I found the problem the installation was activ and the updates were been successfully installed. But after the update my site only dislayed the header and the navigation-bar but not the other body content. Thats why I temporary deactivated the child-theme and the plugin waiting for your reply. Meanwhile I activated the framework-theme instead.

    Just try it out please.
    Content is to watch in the mother-theme.
    After switching to the child-theme “GD Modern” no content is displayed.

    The problem is still not solved in my opinion.

    When you change themes, you have to do all widgets again, and possibly your menu. I guess that is why all pages look empty.

    I don´t understand that. As I made the update I did not change the theme. I changed it after finding the problem not to see the content.

    So now, what ist to do now? Re-installing the child theme from scratch?

    No, I activated your child theme already.
    You just got to add your widgets again, probably after activating your GD addons again if you were using them.

    You cannot use Visual composer to edit GD posts, so I changed your setting at Einstellungen > Visual COmposer > Inhaltstypen

    Ok, thanks for that setting.
    Visual composer: I only like to edit normal pages of my WP installation with visual composer. And those pages I cannot see if the child-theme “GD Modern” is activated. That effect came up after the last update. Until yesterday I edited my pages a usual. I think the best way is to use the framework.

    Best practice is always to use a child theme:

    What you describe should not happen.
    I might just alert Stiofan to that.

    Stiofan, is it possible that the child page.php etc of Modern are preventing editing with Visual Composer?

    Stiofan, neither do I. But Peter(?) says so, and without trying on his site, I cannot recreate either.

    I look after another site where I do not have any problem at all after updating.

    Ok friends, I just deleted the theme and re-installed it again. It works again.
