GD Neighborhoods and dashes

Using our custom post type we are trying to pull the neighborhood into our template but for some reason post_neighbourhood has hyphens instead of spaces saved in database, so it’s pulling those hyphens into the front end.

The hyphens don’t show up in the geodir_post_neighbourhood “hood_name” so why in the type that adds to the post? Any help here to get the neighbourhood attached to the custom post type to show up without a hyphen? Noticed that it doesn’t display in the admin panel with a hyphen either, only saved in the database that way.

This is pulling from the custom post type neighbourhood $post->post_neighbourhood which has hyphens.
