    Hi,
    ther’s a widget called GD > CPT Categories. This widget shows the category icon. But instead of the category icon I would like to display the category image. Could anyone please give me some instructions how to do that in the best way?

    There’s a checkbox called “Hide category icon” for the widget. In GD it’s a native possibility to upload both category image and category icon. Wouldn’t it be a good idea to add the function to the GD > CPT Categories widget to display category image too instead of just category icon and also add checkbox “Hide category image”?

    Hi,

    this isn’t an easy customization. You’ll probably need to create anthoer widget copying the original code into your theme functions.php file and modify it to be able to get what you want, without losing it after every update.

    I’ll ask to developers how hard it would be to add the option you propose. Howver, I think to accomdate images instead of icons, would require a totally different css. So I don’t think this is something we are interested in doing, unless highly requested by other members too. We’ll let you know.
