    Hi there,

I am just moving over now from V1 to V2 and setting up my directory map page again. I can’t seem to get the gd_map shortcode to work. For starters, when I use the shortcode creator in the editor, it returns the same parameters no matter what I enter (see screenshots attached).

Do you have a list of possible parameters that I can use to manually set my shortcode?

The second issue is that the default parameters that the shortcode loads, doesn’t return any records found – even though I have four custom post categories loaded with sample data. https://driftwood.life/good-life-guide/

I have WordPress 5.0.3 running Bridge Child theme. All plugins have been disabled except the GD plugins (all V2), WP Easy Updates, Ninja Forms and WP Bakery Page Builder. **I did try disabling the page builder, and the gd_map shortcode still doesn’t work.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

If you are on 5.0.3 you can use the block editor.

We can take a look at that. On slow servers the shortcode builder may have some delay.

You can write back with WP Admin credentials and login URL so we can take alook at it.

A typical directory map code is

    [gd_map width="100%" height="425px" maptype="ROADMAP" zoom="0" map_type="directory" post_settings="1" post_type="gd_place" post_type_filter="1" cat_filter="1" child_collapse="1"]

    Hi Alex,

Thanks so much! Switching to blocks did work. I’m not a big fan of Gutenberg (yet), so hopefully whatever the glitch is with WPBakery will iron itself out, or I’ll find the culprit on my end. 🙂

    Cheers!

    Glad you got it working.
We are working on WPBakery and will have an update about that soon. I will flag your topic for the developers so they can let you know when they have finished work on WPBakery compatibilty.

FYI i have seen some builders cause issue by stripping javascript out of shortcodes if placed in the text editor (which is the only reliable place we can place our shortcode builder button) if you copy that shortcode to the builders own shortcode module then it usually works.
    Its a pain…

Same issue after upgrading from V2 to V1! I’m trying to use the gd_homepage_map shortcode .I’m using Gutenberg editor with the shortcode in a shortcode black and get the text for the shortcode as output. What am I doing wrong? See attachments…

    Hi Rodney,

You should always start your own topic.
That is no longer a valid shortcode in GDv2, and if using gutenberg you can simply use the GD Map block.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
