Hi my GDirectory is posting my UA identifier for GA on the bottom of every page on my site. I deleted the entry and it did not show.
But I believe I need it populated to be able to use listing detail analytic.
On a side note:
When I update the place holder text in my GD search bar, and the user click’s search without entering any information, it performs the search (I LOVE THIS)
However; it searches for the placeholder text and not the “” empty string.
In Summary:
1. Can you fix the UA being displayed on bottom pages when using GA?2. Could you please advice me on the place holder text. (We still need to be able to search empty string i.e no KW, no Zip, and either or)
2a. Could GA also search on pushing enter on keyboard or pressing go on the Cell phone?
2b. Could this be an option on the back end as well, to turn it off or on?
Thanks,
June 6, 2014 at 5:59 pm #3739Hi nitefader,
#1 where are you entering it, and what exactly are you entering?
#2 this is a bug and i have fixed it and it will be in the next version
#2a Done, will be in the next version.
#2b i don’t see any reason to have it off?
Thanks,
Stiofan
June 6, 2014 at 10:58 pm #3745Hi Stiofan,
I entered it in the GA portion of the plugin. Screen Shot attached (entries altered)
——–Also, I built a select custom field with the following options “Would travel/1,Would not travel/0”
But in the profile field and listing page it shows a “1” when selected
Thanks for all your fantastic efforts.

You got to enter the GA code, not your account number; ie enter the <script>GA code</script> code.On another note, I am struggling to get the “Customize My Search” to show. Can you guide me to that setting?
http://www.bookhinterland.com.auJune 6, 2014 at 11:21 pm #3748I figured out the customize thingie, it will only show on the search page, not on the other pages.
June 6, 2014 at 11:32 pm #3749Thanks So MUCH! It worked, I misinterpreted the Label.
Customize search: Make sure advanced search is Activated.
I attached an image for your perusal. Hope it help’s!
You would not happen to know a good login plugin that has a widget capability and social login compatibility, would you?
June 7, 2014 at 12:21 am #3753Only found this, have not used myself, but am interested to find out whether it works well with GD:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/oa-social-login/June 7, 2014 at 12:44 am #3754I set up http://wordpress.org/plugins/oa-social-login/ with my test site at http://goldroo.net/
So far I only connected Google and FB, but it all works like a charm so far, even with s2member.
I added the login widget to the home page too. Problem with GD though I think, is that GD does not have a profile page (yet?). I am using the profile page of s2member on my test site.
Feel free to have a play – register on my test site.June 8, 2014 at 8:46 pm #3794Thanks Guust!
Thanks again Stiofan:
In reference to “#2b i don’t see any reason to have it off?”
— Depending on difficulty it would be good just in case one of your customers wants to force users to enter both keyword and zip before a search is initiated. Just for nimble sake.On a side note:
Some nice to have features that may be easily included would be –
1. Automatic Video Embeds by video URL only (No embed code required)
2. Shortcode for sign in, sign up to enable us to use any page or modals or widget (compatible with social connect e.t.c)
3. Backend support for uploading fixed dimension badges based on price package during price setup; just like you have for featured listings. So if we desire any price package can have it’s on Special badgeKindest regards,
June 10, 2014 at 12:20 am #3871Hi Guust,
Does it have a method for preventing this page from appearing…
http://goldroo.net/wp-login.php
…and having a captcha, or other security techniques to prevent brute force hacking attempts?
June 10, 2014 at 10:34 am #3890@purpleedge
Nope, that is the proper login page which you can edit to suit your site; the one at my test site is un-edited.
You can add this if you want captcha: http://wordpress.org/plugins/si-captcha-for-wordpress/More at http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/add-captcha-to-wp-login-phpactionregister/
