Hello
with GDV1 there used to be the button “write a review” on the detail page of a listing. Now with GDV2 the button is gone. How can I add the button to the sidebar of the Detail page?Theme: Surpreme Directory v2
Template: Standard templateMany thanks
BirgitMarch 16, 2019 at 2:10 pm #474890You can add a text widget with this code, adjust as required:
<a href="#reviews" style="padding: 8px;background: red;color: white;">Review</a>Thanks

March 16, 2019 at 2:31 pm #474898Hm .. there is a text widget called something like “add any multilingual text”, but with this widget I have not chance to select the pages where the widget shall be displaid.
So this text-widget will be shown on the side bar of any page – which I do not want.Which text-widget do you mean must I use, to have it only displaid on GD Detail side bar?
March 16, 2019 at 2:47 pm #474900You can also just add it to the detail page template.
March 16, 2019 at 3:06 pm #474903Hm … I know I am giving you a hard time and thank you very much for your patience, but believe me, I am also having a hard time with all the changes that come with GDV2.
My problem is, with this block editor (see attachment) I just do not see how to address the side bar of a page.
So how can I place a widget in the side bar with the block editor?March 16, 2019 at 6:50 pm #474922Hello?
March 16, 2019 at 9:32 pm #474937Sidebars, Widgets, and widgets areas are administered on the WP widgets page. You can use a plugin like Widget Logic to set a non-GD widget to appear on certain pages.

Please take a look at the GD Sidebar widgets and reset them as per your preference. With V2 you can only have one GMap per page, so I left the GMap in the sidebar out.
You will want to edit your search page template to remove the extra maps, also. Only the first one loaded in the order of the page will display and on sidebar maps for supreme no other map should be included in the template.
Both issues were related to the V1 themes being installed at the same time. Thanks for removing them.
March 17, 2019 at 12:13 pm #474982Excellent guys! Thank you so much for your endless patience and support! Now I can work with it and see what advantages GDV2 has.
Well done 🙂March 18, 2019 at 2:34 pm #475134You’re welcome!:)
March 19, 2019 at 8:25 am #475283Hello,
I would like to get back to my questions regarding the “Write a review”-Button.Guust has given me a code to copy in a text widget and which I then display in the sidebar of the GD detail page.
However, this button is merely a link to the already existing reviews of the listing.
I am looking for the form with which users can write a review for a particular listing. How do I do that?
March 19, 2019 at 9:25 am #475296The button/link will link to the form.
The form itself is only available if comments are enabled.

That listing, the comments were disabled. You will need to enable comments for each listing through the backend edit screen, and then enable comments on all new listings by changing the settings at
