Hello, thanks for your help, first of all I love your plugin & want to use it…..but……
I started using Geo Directory and added about 50 listings, I then upgraded and purchased all of the add-ons. I love it, I want it to work.
Now to the problem, I thought I’d play around with the themes (not knowing that it would change my entire theme.) So I installed Whoop & Whoop Child along with everything else. Geo Directory then “hijacked” my homepage and put it’s self there instead of my intended homepage (landing page)
I then un-installed Geo Directory and all of the add ons, but then couldn’t remove the Whoop Theme (getting error that it can’t find the theme.) So then I re-installed everything and tried to remove the theme again, but nothing. Now I’m getting errors all over the place when trying to use Geo Directory and it is hard to use. I really want it to work, but have removed it from my plugins as it’s being impossible.
Every time I used Geo Directory I’d then get error messages.
If anyone out there can help, then I’ll give it another try.
I’ve spoken to my Host and tried to wipe all of the files, but am finding this hard.
Please help before I go with the competition.November 9, 2016 at 6:35 am #300535Hi Steven,
I’m terribly sorry to hear about the problem. I’d like you to that GD will not hijack your homepage, it is actually a setting that can be configured manually. Check out this section of the documentation https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/basic-installation/#home
Could you send us an FTP access to your server? I’d like to check and see why you can’t remove the theme from your WordPress.

November 9, 2016 at 6:45 am #300538Hi Kor Chung,
I believe that bit is sorted out, (I had my guys at HostGator change the file name.)
I have deactivated all of the Geo Directory add ons & the core Geo Directory.
When I re-activate this, Geo Directory takes over my homepage and doesn’t work properly.(error messages etc..)
Maybe you would be better off having a look at everything through the wordpress dashboard.
I do want to use Geo Directory & had already listed 100+ places (while having a play)I can grant you access to my dashboard and you can have a loo if you like.

Yes, it would be great to have an access to the dashboard. Could you please provide that so that we could check further?
Thanks!
