We’re using the following function in our child theme, geodir_get_current_location_terms(). When we updated to version 1.5.8 it looks like it’s returning an empty array.

We added a temporary condition to test on our staging site which is being output. Was something renamed in this update that would affect this?

    Thanks.

I still see it unchanged in the codex: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/codex/geodirectory_functions/geodir_get_current_location_terms/

I’ve asked to Stiofan to let us know in case the codex hasn’t been updated since last release.

    Thanks for your patience,

Please check if this affects you: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/missing-update-notifications/

That would happen if your location manager is out of date.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan

Thank you Stiofan. We were able to update the Location Manager add on (on staging and live) and it’s working now.

However, on our staging site every other add-on update fails. We’ve tried copying from our live site several times, checked all license keys and tried again.

The error message on the plugin page is “Update Failed: Plugin update failed.”

We can’t try on our live site until we’ve tested on staging. Any ideas?

Have you ultimately tried updating via FTP in the staging site?

You probably have still some add-on requiring the old licence.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

We’re able to update via FTP but we’re showing the newer interface for licenses and have entered all of the add-on licenses.

Also, we’re able to auto-update on our live site. It seems strange that we can’t auto-update on staging. Do you think this will be fixed in the near future?

    Hi,

if you updated everything and added the licences on both website there is no reason why you shouldn’t be able to auto update next time unless your staging server has problems connecting to our server to download the updates.

    Thanks
