    Hello all!

Firstly I would like to say that I am loving this. JUst amazing and works very well

Secondly, I want to tell you about my plans. and maybe get some ideas on how to accomplish it the most effective way.

I started creating a few niche directories however now I want to keep on creating and add basically all businesses in town to the directory.

Now my question is what is the best way to accomplish it with the minimum work but still be a quality work.
And how do you suggest to link them all together?

I am using supreme theme for each site(subdomain) and that means i have to install all plugins, facebook apps set them up separately etc,,, is this the only way or am i missing something?

Now to linking them together I though of a gumtree/craigslist style of front page. Can that be achieved? Should I use the whoop theme?

Here are some of the subdomains directories i built

    https://estateagents.inbexhill.com
    https://beauty.inbexhill.com
    https://doggrooming.inbexhill.com

    And would connect them on

    https://inbexhill.com (just installed the theme)

    linking all business as categories

    like estate agents
    beauty salons
    dog grooming

Thank you very much for any insights

    Hello,

thanks for writing in, and we are glad to hear you are enjoying GeoDirectory!

About your question, when you install each plugin they come with demo settings, so yes they need to be setup to meet the needs of the site.

It sounds like you planning on keeping each individual site, and then you want to make one new site that has several types of businesses on it.

We recommend to use as few CPT and categories as needed to achieve your business rules. Adding more doesn’t always improve the user experience. One CPT “PLaces” and a separate category for each business type “Beauty” may be the simplest way to go.

Let s know if we didn’t understand your question or if you have more questions.

Im trying to think the best way to go.

So if i wanted everything under one website (for easy management)

I would create a CPT to each (estate agents, beauty, etc) and then i could have my listings there?

You could certainly do it that way, and many people do choose to do it that way, absolutely. You can also simply use the “Places” CPT (one CPT) and use categories to differentiate between different business types, all on a single site.
