I’ve installed Geodirectory on our staging website we’re working on to incorporate your plugin and having issues both displaying the default directory listing homepage (nothing shows up at all) as well as publishing listings from the front end. When I go to publish a listing, it takes me to the preview page and everything looks great but when I publish it officially it just takes me to the homepage and no listing actually is published when looking on the backend. What could be the cause? The website to test is http://flagspin.staging.wpengine.com/directory/

I guess your setting at GD > design > listings > New listing default status > is set to draft.

Or your “Listing success page” is not set correctly at GD > permalinks.

Quickest will be if you post your admin details in a private reply, then we can have a look at your settings.

    Hi,

the directory home page isn’t showing anything because the widget areas for it are empty:

    GD Home Top Section
    GD Home Content Section
    GD Home Right Section

Also all other GD widget areas are empty, so you basically haven’t finished setting up the site yet.

There is also a plugin that creating a conflict in the back end. I believe it is YITH WooCommerce Wishlist: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/drop-down-menus-in-gd-backend-design-area-not-working/

However you ahve so many plugins installed, that there could be something else. I’d suggest to disable all non GD Plugins to see if all problem disappear and if one of them is the culprit, re-activate one by one until the problems come back to point one which one is causing this.

Let us know if this helps.

    Thanks

Ok, it looks like both of those worked for the most part. I was able to successfully add a “place” and added the widgets and that page displays fine now. However I still can’t seem to get the “Events” to work. When I go to http://flagspin.staging.wpengine.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_event which should take me to the add an event page, it just takes me back to the homepage. I can go to http://flagspin.staging.wpengine.com/add-listing/?listing_type=gd_place just fine, and add a place and it works, but not events. It doesn’t even show “Events” as an option from the Listing Dashboard widget where you can add or edit your listings, only places. I have the Events addon installed and even tried to add the Custom Post Types just in case but can’t seem to figure out why it won’t show up…

You did not allow users to add Events at GD > design > navigation.
