    site name = nightlifemagazine.com

    1) somehow all the geodirectory selections within the admin panel have dissapeared, however, it appears that all of the files appear intact in the plugins file.

    2) all of the plugins core, location, search ect have been de-activated, possibly caused by the #1 (admin panel missing item)

    3) if I attempt to activate the core plugin I will get the message that you can also see in on of the attached images

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home1/jjdpurce/public_html/nightlifemagazinena/wp-content/plugins/geodirectory/geodirectory-functions/helper_functions.php on line 852

    Can I reinstall geodirectory to fix this and how will this effect the geodirectory data?

    De-activating and deleting GD should not effect your data unless you have explicitly set the options in the uninstall.

    You can take a backup of your site first if you have concerns.

    Then yes, do delete the GD plugin and reinstall a fresh copy. If it shows up ok, then re-activate addons and update to the latest.

    I deleted the geodirectory plugin and reinstalled fresh copy, receiving same message when I attempt to activate. Included image displaying helper_functions.php file from new install @ 6:08pm

    I also took a shot and downloaded the plugin “GeoDeals For Geodirectory” received the following message when I attempted to activate.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /home1/jjdpurce/public_html/nightlifemagazinena/wp-content/plugins/geodeals-for-geodirectory/includes/geodeals-gd-listings-shortcode-manager.php on line 127
