February 11, 2020 at 10:35 pm #529896I just checked it so what you did was add the menu as a sub item and now when adding a place the user will have the option to write in that menu field you created?
February 12, 2020 at 12:47 am #529913I added a custom field. If you give the user the ability to edit the listing, you can mark the field as admin only to keep them from editing it.
February 25, 2020 at 8:36 pm #532209Hello again hope all is well thank you for creating that for me I did some tweaks with the short-code and now the same product is not populating in all the places on the map so big thanks!
I have just a couple of more questions:
1. How can I change the default image when users add a new place? please refer to attachment.
2. How can I add Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram icons on the bottom footer of the page?
3. Is it possible to hide the tags on place’s created by users? Please refer to attachment red circled areas.February 25, 2020 at 11:17 pm #5322551. A snippet here for changing the default featured image: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/themes/supreme/#featured-image-theme-setting
2. You can use fontawesome CSS to show icons: https://fontawesome.com/icons/search?style=solid (HTML on the page)
3. In the Custom Fields tab, find tags, and in the Show in extra output locations remove the “Details page sidebar”
March 3, 2020 at 5:52 am #5332111. Thank you I have used the following information to apply proper changes to my page but now I ran into another problem with my place pages please refer to my screenshot of the page header image not fitting onto the whole screen of my desktop.
2. Also how could I hide the the “Place Tags: America” & “Place Category:Doctors” shown in screenshot.
March 3, 2020 at 9:41 am #5332561. If you are using Supreme you can check the customizer for a menu background option. For the sitewide header featured image I would recommend a much larger image.
2. That is being shown with GD Single Taxonomy in the GD Details template page. You can remove that and add in GD Post Meta for tags or categories.

https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs-v2/themes/supreme/March 3, 2020 at 7:39 pm #533335Thank you for the response I was able to remove the Taxonomy successfully. So I removed all the tags from being displayed or users adding it themselves to places they have created but what I had a question about was how would tags be beneficial compared to categories?
Also on the front page of my website how do I re-arrange the “featured places” being displayed?
March 3, 2020 at 10:20 pm #533363Tags are great when the admin wants to pull together a group of listings, just visit the listings and add a tag. Then use GD Listings to show them together.
For the frontpage you can add whatever you like, here is our sample:
