Getting my Head Around Locations

    Hey all, can I just check something around categories and the map.

    My Directory is of the UK (Country) only.

    If I add 2 businesses, from the same County (Kent for example) I get Kent and Kent-1.

    Surely they should be contained under the same region, likewise for cities – if Google AutoComplete is picking them up.

    Otherwise I’ll have up to Kent-50 etc –

    In addition to that, it means I could potentially use a region slug to show businesses per region?

    (I’m using Multiple CPTs – if that makes any difference to this answer)

    That doesn’t sound right, there should be only one region for Kent listed in GD – Multilocations

    You are right that listings should be under one ‘Kent’, not 50 of them, so they can all show on the same /kent/ page.

    Hi,

    The locations with ‘all’ are not correct. You should merge those into their partners. They need to be merged so listings aren’t orphaned from their locations.

    However, there is some other issue with the LM interface, so, no merging until we fix the other issue.

    Please try deactivating, deleting, then reinstalling a fresh copy. If that doesn’t work please provide FTP and we will do some deeper debugging.

    See if LM restores the Locations tab functionality.
