Did you upload it to the correct folder to overwrite the old files?
April 25, 2016 at 4:28 pm #170641Yes!
I then went to this page but I don’t see an update for Supreme!
Themes> http://www.supremecityguides.com/wp-admin/update-core.phpThe following themes have new versions available. Check the ones you want to update and then click “Update Themes”.
Supreme does not show!
See this page also> http://www.supremecityguides.com/wp-admin/update.php?action=upload-theme
Will I have to do this each time their is an Update?
April 25, 2016 at 6:40 pm #170713to remove the map from ALL search results pages add this to your custom css:
You cannot remove it just for events. This will affect all search pages
.sd.search.geodir-page .geodir-listings-sidebar-left, .sd.search.geodir-page .geodir-listings-sidebar-right { display: none;} .sd.search.geodir-page #geodir_content{ flex-basis: 100%; width: 100% !important; }
I asked to developer to verify why listings outside of that neighbourhood are showing in the home map.
We’ll let you know asap.
Thanks
April 25, 2016 at 6:44 pm #170715I will leave “as is” until I hear back from you why listings outside the neighborhood are showing in the home map-so they can see it…. no problem for me to wait…
Thank you!
Jorge
April 25, 2016 at 10:09 pm #170840If you overwrite a theme using FTP, there will be no update notice, because it is updated by overwriting.
All I can think of is that you did not overwrite all the files, that can only be checked if we have your FTP details.
Child themes do not get updated normally, but Supreme is still in beta.April 25, 2016 at 10:18 pm #170875This reply has been marked as private.April 25, 2016 at 10:44 pm #170879You only uploaded the ZIP file to the themes folder, instead of extracting on your computer and overwriting all the files in /wp-content/themes/supreme-directory
April 25, 2016 at 10:48 pm #170880Sorry Guust…. this is all new to me-never done this before-not sure how to do what needs to be done…
I followed the instruction on a video by filezilla….
What do you recommend I do?
Jorge
April 26, 2016 at 10:11 am #1710131. Extract the files of the ZIP file: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/compress-uncompress-files-zip-files
2. Then upload them to the supreme folder on your server, overwriting/replacing the files
April 26, 2016 at 10:44 am #171019I believe I just did.
Can you check please.Jorge
April 26, 2016 at 11:37 am #171028Nope: http://www.supremecityguides.com/wp-admin/themes.php?theme=supreme-directory
It still has the old version.
April 26, 2016 at 11:42 am #1710301. How can you tell?
2. I see a different layout in the widget area> http://www.supremecityguides.com/wp-admin/widgets.php
3. If I don’t have the update, I don’t know how to do this update….
4. What are my options? Delete the current one and install the new one?
April 26, 2016 at 12:01 pm #1710331. See image.
2. Unrelated to theme update.
3. https://docs.appthemes.com/tutorials/how-to-ftp-a-wordpress-theme/
https://urbangiraffe.com/articles/how-to-install-a-wordpress-theme/
etc4. If you delete and then reinstall the new one, you will have to redo menus and widgets etc, so not recommended.
April 26, 2016 at 12:19 pm #171037I have re-visited the video and instruction and I believe I have followed it but I guess I have missed the mark…
I don’t know how to do it.
You said that Supreme is still in beta?
Q1) Does this mean that once it comes out of beta the New Version will show under “update Themes” and I will simply update?
Q2) If the above is correct, can I continue “working” in my current version and update once it comes out of Beta?
April 26, 2016 at 12:40 pm #1710551. No, you will have to go through the same process again.
