Having zero experience with WordPress is not helping me to create a directory site with GeoDirectory. I know for a fact that it is a lot easier for me to edit HTML code than work with WordPress. You have a background image labeled whoop-splash.jpg loaded in the images folder. I see this image displayed as what I would call the background image for the home page. I can’t remove this image and replace it with an image I uploaded. Where do I do this?
Seems simple enough but if I try to edit the home page (static page), changing the background image in the body does nothing other than display part of my uploaded image below the default image.
I manually added images into the whoop images folder where whoop-splash.jpg is located figuring there must be an editing screen that searches that folder for background images. Everything in WordPress seems to be managed by WordPress and it doesn’t like users putting files where they should belong. It seems WordPress likes media to be uploaded via the Media Library. Am I correct about that?
Bigger question is why are there so many different sizes of whoop-splash.jpg and does the theme actually use this folder for the default background image?
