Has anyone successfully converted GT to GD using the instructions provided? I’d like to ask some questions if possible. The directions provided don’t match the cPanel I am using.
    Thank you.

    Hi Stiofan:
I know you have, as you wrote the tutorial and thank you for answering.

I printed the instructions and at number 2,”Copy your database (DB) …. Using phpMyAdmin………..included in cPanel. Select table….

My host’s cPanel looks very different from the example you provided. I was able to locate the name of my database, but not the location. It appears, in your example, there are many files to be copied and the file size example is more than 100K. My file size is less than 20K, (with 3 years of data) therefore it cannot be the correct database file to copy. Following your continuing example, the variance between your cPanel example and mine continues to grow.

First step is to find the location of the database, then copy it to where?

While the instructions are step-by-step for those of us who are not coders or programmers, some of us need additional insights to the process. As I have limited time to accomplish this task, your help is appreciated.
    Any suggestions would be helpful.
    Thank you

I think the steps you are talking about are just my basic backup steps, the copy of the database is done via phpMyAdmin databse operations, you are just copying the database in there, you are not moving it anywhere.

If you have any specific questions please ask.

    Stiofan:
I am following your guide posted on YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_VZqtc_BP1U

Having already uploaded and installed, GD Framework and GD child theme I was expecting to see GD listing on the left side. As you will note, there is none.

In one of the many attempts, I noticed that the event manager plug-in was throwing errors all over the site and causing additional issues. I deleted the entire site (again)and started over with this result as of now.
    Suggestions?
    Thanks

Looks like a permissions problem, please ask your host to fix.

    Thanks,

    Stiofan
