    Hi

I’ve just added several add ons, just using the ‘add new plugin’ function on wordpress (is that the correct way?) and I’ve ended up with all this weird text at the top of my website..

    Please see http://www.thehouseofdog.co.uk

Can anyone please help? I don’t know where to start fixing this! 😮

    Thanks

    Sally

    Hi Stiofan

Oh phew! Updating the core plugin fixed it! Didn’t realise there was an update, silly me.

Thanks for the quick response! 🙂

    Hi Stiofan

Me again, not sure whether you prefer me to start this in a new topic or not? But since adding the add ons, my page I was setting up at http://www.thehouseofdog.co.uk/dogfriendly/ seems to have lost all its styling, it’s kind of all in one row.

Please could you tell me what is the best way of getting this page to look basically like the one on your demo site, but with the header used on my homepage at http://www.thehouseofdog.co.uk ? I don’t want to lose the ‘news’ type feel of the site overall, but do want the directory to be a big part of the site, not just hidden away.

I installed and previewed Geodirectory theme framework and the child one and did do a live preview, but it made everything currently on the site into one long list, with the blog posts just all opened up in full. I didn’t activate it because I didn’t want to destroy what I’ve already made or make the site look a mess, it’s being used by people right now, so I can’t really do that. I’m unsure if there is a way I can play around with the theme and save options whilst not making actual live changes to the site?

What would you recommend as the best way forwards here? I think getting that /dogfriendly page all set up with the map as the main focus as in the demo would be best, then having directory widgets running down the right hand side on the homepage to get the traffic there.

I’m just not sure what’s gone wrong with /dogfriendly ? Is it because installed the add ons or because I previewed the theme?

    Thanks again for your help

    Sally

    Hi,

please send me your wp admin credentials in a private reply and I’ll fix that page for you. It is just a matter of rearranging widgets. The problem comes from previewing the other theme I think.

    Thanks

Thanks Paolo, the issue seems to have fixed itself somehow! But thank you for the kind offer anyway 🙂
