Hi, I’m a newbie when it comes to using Beaver Builder and the GeoDirectory plugin. I wanted to know how to make my home page look like the one in the supreme directory demo. I’m going to buy all the addons, but for that I would rather have everything set up first. I’m having a hard time figuring out how to make it work, since I’m not used to working with widgets. Beaver Builder only works in custom pages, but I can’t make my page look anything like the one on the demo, just clean and simple, with some text, featured listings and upcoming events, and the calendar. The rest is pretty straightforward I think, the listings pages and all that is already setup. Thanks in advance.

Could you please share your Website URL so that I could check and see what’s missing there?
Thanks!

August 4, 2017 at 12:24 pm #389749Hi Mauro,
Have you tried setting it to full-width and insert the widgets you would like to display below it. Such as “GD > Popular Post Category” widget or display the map using “GD > Gmap – Homepage” widget.
Thanks!
August 4, 2017 at 12:33 pm #389750Hi Kor,
When I set the page to full width, the text looks great, but when I change the Home page on the GeoDirectory menu to be able to put the widgets, it has that annoying empty sidebar again. My plan is to have featured businesses on the home page as well, just like in your demo (https://wpgeo.directory/supreme-directory/). Also the Upcoming Events and the Events Calendar. I really like that layout. This directory is going to have thousands of businesses from the Algarve, where I live, and I want some businesses to be featured (those who pay a premium). But my client wants the payment done by bank transfer, so I don’t need to use the payment add-on. But for now the main thing is the page layout, I would like it to be the same as in the demo. Just simple, with text and 3 widgets.
Thanks!
August 4, 2017 at 3:11 pm #389760Hi Mauro,
We really don’t offer assistance modifying Websites but, do you mind sharing temp WP admin access for us to take a look at the backend? Probably you’ve missed some configurations. You can post the details here using the private reply option below.

Did you find anything wrong with it?
August 7, 2017 at 6:35 am #390027Hi Mauro,
Just checked your Website and I noticed that page is not controlled by Beaver builder, so you’ll just have to set the width to 100% as shown in this screenshot http://prntscr.com/g5a6he . I’ve also inserted the GD > CPT Categories Widget to the GD Home Content Section as shown in this screenshot http://prntscr.com/g5a7f1
Thanks!
August 8, 2017 at 5:54 pm #390310Hi Kor,
Alright, thank you. I know there are a bit off-topic but I’m going to buy the membership in a couple of days and I had just these questions. I wanted to know if there’s a way that only an administrator can add or edit listings. I don’t want anyone to be able to even access the add listing page. I’m going to sell it to local businesses but I want to have full control over it, even if it involves more work. I also want to know if there’s a way that only the admin can have control over the coupons as well. And last thing, I don’t want people to be able to claim listings, but let only the administrators control it, so that I could edit the listing and put the actual owner as the business owner.
Thank you very much in advance!

August 9, 2017 at 3:14 pm #390403Hi Mauro,
Sorry for the late response. Yes, you can add any listings in the backend using an “Administrative” account. Allowing users to claim listing would require using this addon, https://wpgeodirectory.com/downloads/claim-listings/
Thanks!
August 9, 2017 at 3:25 pm #390408Hi Kor,
Alright, thanks. And how do I hide the Add Listing page so that regular users can’t access it?
Thanks!
Also, thank you very much for your fast and great support.
August 10, 2017 at 2:14 pm #390534Hi Mauro,
You can’t really hide the “Add Listing” page but you can refer to this section of the documentation https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#navigation as it explains how to remove the “Add Listing” link on the “Navigation Menu”
Thanks!
August 10, 2017 at 3:55 pm #390567Hi Kor,
Alright, thank you. Just bought the membership and I’m going to see how everything works, if I need anything I’ll let you know.
