    Hi Brent,

doing that will make it impossible for you to update the child theme in case we release an update for it.

In case that is what you want to do, you will find that code in inc/geodirectory-compatibility.php around line 1059.

    Thanks

p.s. please read our support policy: https://wpgeodirectory.com/support-policy/

everything that you asked here is about customization and thus beyond support.

lol. I’m really not trying to be a pain in the ass! 🙂

I changed the logo name back

here are the exact steps i took to remove the image and there is no option to do so.

    steps 1 – 2 – 3 – 4

Please try to add a custom image momentarily, the remove image button should appear. Once you removed it, the subtitle with h2 should appear.

    Thanks

    1) Okay, Paolo that now shows after adding a new image and removing it.

    2) When I modify the geodirectory-compatibility.php file nothing changes.

Guust told me to update the index.php file and nothing changed there also.

Where is this header info coming from?

    3) I have never heard of a child theme that you can’t modify and keep your changes… ?

    2) This is what I wrote sometime in the beginning of this topic:

Supreme gets it files from Directory starter and the header.php file there has h2 for the tagline (site-description). You can see in index.php of Supreme where it gets the header and the footer.

I never meant that you should update index.php, but I was showing you where to find header.php

    3) That is quite correct, but Supreme is still being improved upon as users suggest new bits and pieces, and some bugs are found. And being a child theme of Directory Starter that is then the only way to update, it overwrite/merge the existing child theme

    Hi Guust,

I found where to edit the <h2> on the home page. It’s in the functions.php file! That’s good. I won’t lose my changes in the functions file will I when there’s an update? I sure hope not!

It would be very beneficial to add this into your code for SEO purposes. Especially since it’s on the homepage! I added where a screenshot that shows the change.

    Thank you.

I also was able to have a logo + the site description by tweaking a little CSS and adding a bit of jQuery. 🙂

Turn off the stickyness in the widget in the relevant sidebar.
