    Hi,

    I am trialling the plugin on my website, I have created a number of categories and subcategories however there appears to be some compatibility issues with my theme: http://www.seesomethingnew.com.au/places

    Are you able to please advise how I fix this or point me in the right direction for instructions.

    Thanks 🙂

    Hi,

    I only see 1 small issue with left and right padding around GD elements. Adding this to GD >> Design >> Scripts >> Custom css

    #geodir-wrapper {
        padding: 0 30px;
    }

    Should solve it.

    It also seems that you haven’t uploaded a category icon for all categories.

    Let us know,

    Thanks

    No luck unfortunately, have tried to add some more map markers and they upload fine but are not showing up in the catagory views at the top of the page at seesomethingnew.com.au/places

    I Tred the custome css as both
    #geodir-wrapper {
    padding: 0 30px;
    }

    and

    #geodir-wrapper {padding: 0 30px;}

    (I don’t know if it makes any difference I have no idea what it means 😉

    1. Permalinks were not set to “postname”, I fixed that.
    2. Suggestion: You should not create categories for locations, GD automatically organises all listings by location and then you should use the location switcher.
    See here for an example, look for the red item in the menu “change location”:
    http://www.2cv.com.au/directory/
    3. I cannot pinpoint the problem with your missing categories, but there are a fair few plugins that could be giving you conflicts. Because it is a live site, I have not turned any of them off to try to find the problem.

    I’ll hand this to Paolo, he might have a better idea.

    I don’t think you have a problem with a theme, you just need to trim your plugins [less is more!].
    You still have not added icons to all categories or cleaned up your categories.
    The GD-buddypress integration addon is only if you use buddypress, it is only for integration.

    I am not sure what problem you still have.

    If you have a problem with the theme, remember that GDF and Whoop! themes are both included in your subscription too.

    Thanks

    I cannot find why you cannot add map markers or default images to categories.
    There does not seem to be any problem with your other media uploads.
    I’ll have to get Paolo to investigate this more. In the meantime, try de-activating all other plugins one by one and keep testing.

    Hi,

    I thin this is a theme problem.

    The theme is trying to add options inside our custom post type categories, breaking GD image uploads for both the category icon and the category default image.

    I don’t see any option on the theme settings page that would prevent that from happening.

    The 1st think to try would be to quickly switch theme to a default wp theme to see if the problem persist, in that case it could be a plugin instead. (However I believe it is the theme)

    If switching theme fixes the problem, then I think it will be easier for the theme author to help you on this one. You should ask him to provide an option to exclude Valenti Options to be added to plugin custom post type categories.

    Let us know if this helped.

    Thanks
