Hello,
I feel that the featured images are always lost if we change the contents of the post, after saving the post, edited, and saved again.
If it’s a bug, I don’t want to force the Geodirectory Team to fix this immediately. But I prefer to disable the Featured Image and Thumbnail on Map Buble.
Can I get a custom CSS code for this?
Thanks!January 20, 2019 at 5:06 am #464242Hi Zul,
Thanks for your post. This isn’t a known issue and we’d need to troubleshoot this further on your end. Could you share WP admin access here in private reply so that we could check on it? Also, list the steps to replicate it.
Thanks!
January 20, 2019 at 6:24 am #464247Hi Kor,
Thank you for responding. As information, I have searched this forum, so I tried changes to the CSS code as follows:
span[itemprop="addressLocality"], span[itemprop="addressRegion"] { margin-right:10px } .geodir_more_info br:nth-child(5), .geodir_more_info br:nth-child(7){ display: none; } body .geodir-listing-search.gd-search-bar-style .geodir-loc-bar .clearfix.geodir-loc-bar-in .geodir-search button { padding-top: 10px!important; } .single-gd_place .featured-area { display: none!important; } .geodir_flexslider .geodir-slides img { display: none!important; } .geodir-bubble_desc .geodir-bubble_image { height: auto!important; }
Well, after this message, I will give WP Admin access. Hopefully there is a solution to this problem.

January 21, 2019 at 6:20 pm #464514Hi Zul,
Thanks for your patience. I’ve just inspected your Website and I noticed that most of your listings do not have a category assigned to it. The listing will not be displayed without a category. Also, could you list the steps to replicate the said issue?
January 22, 2019 at 1:04 am #464570Fine, thank you for your help. I haven’t adjusted the category yet, because the listing is not complete. I know if the category is empty, the Map Marker will not appear on the homepage. So I let the Marker not appear because the listing is not complete.
Associated with post #464241 that Featured Photos will be lost if I do editing several times on the Place Post. This is the point. So, why does Featured Photos get lost in the editing process after being saved?
While waiting, I am currently making a custom CSS change (like my post #464247 above).
Thank you.
January 22, 2019 at 1:15 pm #464655To hide the map bubble image you can try:
.geodir-bubble_image .geodir_thumbnail { background: none!important; }
The frontend editor seems to save images just fine. Where are you seeing the issue?
January 22, 2019 at 2:37 pm #464705Thank you Alex, I applied that CSS for a while.
So, the Featured Photos which disappear by themselves, are found on the backend side. If a “Place” has been saved (with some Featured Photos in it) and I’m editing this post, then I Save again. The problem starts from here, the Featured Photos are not all stored, only one photo is stored.
If this is a new issue, I will temporarily deactivate Map Bubble Images. And I will wait for further news from the Geodirectory Team.
Thank you..
January 22, 2019 at 8:34 pm #464769I made a test listing, closed it, opened it, no photos disappear:
/wp-admin/post.php?post=4121&action=editAny other steps needed to recreate this?
January 23, 2019 at 1:41 am #464831Well, you try to add Post Type “gd_akomodasi”. I tried it too, and indeed Featured Photos did not disappear.
However, for Post Type “gd_place” there is still a problem, the Featured Photos cannot be added. Only 1 photo left, and the others are not saved.
You can change the post that I have, or make a new one. Please, our website is still under development, please change it for trial.
January 23, 2019 at 12:50 pm #464944I create a place test listing and edited through front and backend and images seem fine:
/wp-admin/post.php?post=4148&action=editJanuary 23, 2019 at 2:45 pm #464984Okay, I’ve seen it.
I am currently trying to change it, I add 2 more Featured Photos from the backend side. And now the photo you added has been lost from the post.

If you see your colleague’s response, Kor. That some issues arise because of the Genesis theme, do you think that too?
If it is true, I will contact the Genesis support team later.
January 23, 2019 at 5:49 pm #465012It is still not happening for me, I cannot recreate the issue.
Can you say which browser you are using?
How do you find the page to edit it? Are you going through a certain menu or “all places” page?
And you are editing w the backend editor, yes? -
