Hide Description, Delete Post

    1. Can we hide Profile tab content in listing? PFA
    2. Can we reduce number of characters shown of Profile tab content in listing? May be like display only 100 character with read more option. I know we have read more, i want to reduce number of characters. PFA
    3. Where is delete option located for post author to delete place he has added?

    1. That can be removed with CSS or some code.

    2. “read more” only shows on the listings, and location and search pages. Not on the detail page in the profile tab. Even if you could add “Read more” in the profile tab, where would the visitor “Read more”?
    If you are talking about the characters of the description on other pages:
    Listings and search pages: GD > design > Listings > Description word limit
    Location pages: in the widgets

    3. In his dashboard. If a user navigates to the list of their listings, they will find the delete and edit links.

    1. Is their no option to hide description in listing without css
    2. Description word limit is 50 in GD > design > Listings. it is showing 327 characters with read more. Check the image i sent yesterday.

    2. Those 327 characters look like 50 words to me? If you only want about 100 characters, try about 15 words.

    Those images do not show whether you are talking about a widget or the content of the listings page.
    If changing the settings at GD > design > listings does not work, change the settings in the relevant widget.

    I am talking about content displayed in listing. Listing in popular places and latest places. Check image it is of popular places.

    Change the settings in the widgets.

    Or give us a URL of the page where you want to change it and admin details.

    I want to display limited number of characters(starting 50 characters) in listing. Is it possible?

    No it is not. Either you force them to enter max 50 characters or it will show everything a user entered.
