    Sorry, I’m not really sure what are you trying to achieve there. Could you possibly share some screenshots and a link to the said page? Also, please elaborate a little bit more.

    popular categories is a widget. Go to appearance > Widgets and remove it from everywhere you don’t want it.

    I mean just hide some categories from the widget.

    That’s not possible, I’m sorry. You’d need to re-write the widget code to achieve something similar.
