home page default location

in multilocations > location settings I have checked

Show everywhere location results on home page (First time only, if geodirectory home page is your site home page and user comes to home page).

Home page should go to > Site root (ex: mysite.com/)

when I visit my site, it redirects to the default city. maybe because at some point I visited the location or did a search or some other mysterious logic that I am not aware of

I don’t want that to happen

how do we control and force the home page to return to the ‘everywhere’ as per desired settings checked in multilocations

do I need to stop using geodirectory default setup and use pages with shortcodes?
