Home Page Google Map is not working properly

We have moved to a support ticketing system and our forums are now closed.

    Home Page:
    If anything other than ‘Everywhere’ is chosen in the ‘CHANGE LOCATION’ on the menu, the map on the Home Page Google Map, says, “No Records Found”
    Example: if the United States or Alabama etc. is chosen from the top bar ‘CHANGE LOCATION’, an empty map is shown
    When a Category Search or a Listing search is made, the data shows up in the map at the right side of the screen correctly. I mean, it works on search result page fine but doesn’t work on the Home page only.

    Some of your listings do not have categories.
    Category is required.
    Make sure all your listings have categories.
    If listings do not have categories, detail pages, archive pages, and location pages will break and maps will not work.

    Do you mean all entries must have categories? Why it’s not working for the ones that already have categories. It’s just saying “No Records Found”? Also, how it’s working for ‘EVERY WHERE’then if the above things are missing. Also, don’t understand what you mean by ‘Location’ page?

    Also, if what you said is correct and the Map needs all that to work properly, then how come only the homepage map is failing, but it’s working fine on a specific category listing page like the following screenshot? Plz see attached:

    If a single listing doesn’t have a category, features for the entire CPT can be disrupted.

    Can you plz give me a query that I can run to mass update all the uncategorized ones in one shot? We have over 5000 entries. This would be a big help … thanx.

    I have added just one place at http://cgxdev.com/breizsurfing.org/Things-to-do/. It also belongs to category – Attractions. However, the home page map does not show that. How do we fix it?

    Hi Seth,

    Thanks for your reply. The only way to bulk update your listing would be to export the listings into CSV and make changes over there. Then, reimport it when you’re done.

    For your second questions, please check “SHOW / HIDE POST TYPE AND CATEGORY ON MAP” option as mentioned here https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-design/#map . If it doesn’t help, kindly share WP admin access in private reply and we’ll check your GD setup.
