Home Page Layout Question

Evening Everyone!
I’m loving this theme and I’m experimenting with laying it out the way I want it. But I’m a newbie with this so it’s slow going.

Here’s my question: Would it take a lot of editing to get the homepage of my GeoDirectory to look like the homepage of this theme – http://uouapps.com/portfolio/glocal/bar/?theme=uouapps

I didn’t buy that theme because I feel GeoDirectory is superior to it in every way. But I do like the way the home page is laid out, especially the Browse by Category feature.

Can those of you who know coding very well tell me if you think this will be difficult or fairly easy. If it’ll be difficult I’ll start looking for someone to do it…or I might ditch it and go with the current layout.
