Hi,
I am using the avada theme and when I first installed the geodirectory it was working fine. However, these are the problems I am currently having:

1. I have the top section of the home page enabled, but the map is not working at all – doesn’t show up. GD home map is in the top section widget for the home page.
2. The right side bar widget is not updating. It shows the near me button and the places categories, however I do not have these items entered in the widget. I have another item not related to GeoDirectory in the Widget.
3. I have tried from the GeoDirectory Admin panel to disable the homepage right sidebar from showing – however no matter what I chose to do with the home page from the admin panel, nothing happens.
4. On the main menu for the site, the change location item is only showing 4 cities.

Please help me resolve this. Site is here: test.brightfeats.com.

GIven that you are using Avada, and GD adapts to it’s templates, the options to hide sidebars in design settings cannot work. It can be done with css though.

FOr the other 2 questions, we would need to have a look at your backend.

Please provide admin credentials in a private reply and we will check your settings.

1) you are not using the GD-Home as your home page, you are using the “About us” page..

This would be your gd home right now: http://test.brightfeats.com/location/ and the map is there working…

If you want to use the GD Home as your home page, go to Settings >> Reading of wordpress and set the GD home as your front page.

Let us know if that was the issue…

I also have this problem
I’m using Avada theme, using my own homepage and am using gd home as a listing page for a local directory.
When I first set up the gd plugin the page worked fine. Map showed and places showed fine Now there is no map at all and none of the widgets in gd home top section are showing.

Maps are working ok on the listing detail page so its not the api.
Local machine so I cant give access to check.

I havent changed anything in the home page template.

Hi,

please move your website on a live server and provide a URL and admin credentials in a private reply. It’s almost impossible to provide support without checking and the Google Maps API doesn’t work properly in localhost (no matter if the api key is entered or not)

Cant move it to a live server yet,

Every map works fine except the gd home page. None of the top sections widgets work.
The page is un altered since install.

Every other map works fine, Add listing back end and frontend
Listing top section map and side bar maps all ok.
