In the FAQs, to “disable reviews” you go to WP Settings > Discussion and disable comments.
However, I only want to disable reviews from the Wpgeodirectory (for place and event listings). Is there an easy way to do this?

April 9, 2017 at 7:43 pm #372730Hi Kor, thank you for the reply. Please can you help a little more, as this link is not clear to me. I don’t want to disable all “review” function in the WP Settings.
I only want to disable in WPgeodirectory for places and event listings. How is this done?

April 9, 2017 at 10:12 pm #372742Are those your only CPTs?
Then go GD > Design > Detail tab > Remove the following tabs from the detail page > Reviews.
The icons and links on other pages are hidden with CSS as per links posted above. Thanks
April 15, 2017 at 7:19 pm #373643Hi, many thanks for clarifying. But this issue is on “popup” listing.
The review stars are showing as grey’ed out. See attached.
How are these removed?

April 16, 2017 at 1:39 am #373658Try adding this CSS:
.geodir_Star {display: none;} .geodir-bubble-meta-bottom .geodir-bubble-reviews {display: none;}For future reference, please review

April 16, 2017 at 9:12 am #373680Thank you for the suggestion, but, if this is going to leave a large white space at the bottom, that will look odd too.
We already can’t see clearly the directory listing title on the top. Ringed in the attachment screen shot.
Are there other display options for the these listing preview popups?
Francis
April 16, 2017 at 9:25 am #373681You can add any custom field to the map bubbles, see https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/core-place-settings/#show
You can edit the bubble heading to make it stand out better: https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/common-styling-examples/#bubble
Thanks
April 16, 2017 at 9:36 am #373682I’ve also found this support too:
https://wpgeodirectory.com/support/topic/map-pop-up/Ah, I’ve not realized I would need to be an expert in CSS code changes to configure this directory! Do you have introduction/ beginners guide in how CSS code changes are made as you suggest I now need to do and learn?
Francis
April 16, 2017 at 10:03 am #373683I’ve now found this link to try.
https://wpgeodirectory.com/docs/customizing-your-style/Please can you explain the code changes to allow the “Map Bubble” to have the Listing Title shown below the photo?
Or this display view set up already in other wpGeoDirectory themes?
Francis
April 16, 2017 at 1:09 pm #373694Try this:
.geodir-bubble_desc h4 { padding-top: 47px; background: transparent } .geodir-bubble-meta-side { padding: 30px 5px 5px 5px; }Use that article I already linked to, to fine-tune the changes if you like.
April 16, 2017 at 1:41 pm #373726Thank you. Are we ok to do this do this, or will this be considered as customisation?
Francis
April 16, 2017 at 1:53 pm #373728CSS is purely cosmetic and will not interfere with the operation of GD plugins; it only affects the looks of your pages. It is customization, but will not affect your support for the plugins. The CSS we are providing here is just to help you get started, but is your responsibility.
